Applicant Profile (Single)
What is Arrima and the QSWP?
Arrima is the online portal used by the Government of Quebec to manage applications for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), also sometimes referred to as the RSMP. Unlike the rest of Canada, Quebec does not use the federal Express Entry system.
Is French mandatory to immigrate to Quebec?
Practically, yes. While the points grid technically allows you to score points in other areas, recent 2024 legislative changes in Quebec mean that almost all economic immigration pathways now require at least a Level 7 (B2) in spoken French to even be invited to apply.
What is a Validated Job Offer (VJO)?
A Validated Job Offer (Offre d'emploi validée) is a formal job offer approved by the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI). It grants massive bonus points, especially if the job is located outside the Montreal metropolitan area (up to 14 points).
What happens after I score 50 points?
Scoring 50 points (for a single applicant) simply means you meet the minimum threshold to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) into the Arrima pool. However, to actually receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a CSQ, you typically need a much higher score or a Validated Job Offer.
Total Arrima Score

Not Eligible
You do not meet the minimum 50-point threshold required to submit an Expression of Interest to Quebec.
Important Note
This calculator estimates the core QSWP Grid (Max 103 points for singles). When you enter the Arrima pool, Quebec overlays a separate ranking system (Max 1320 points) to actually invite candidates. Reaching 50 points simply gets you in the door.
