How OMSAS Calculates GPA
The Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) uses a standardized Grade Conversion Table for OMSAS. This ensures that grades from different Canadian universities are evaluated fairly on a single 4.0 scale.
Key rules for OMSAS:
- All Undergraduate Years: OMSAS includes all undergraduate courses taken at a recognized university.
- Repeated Courses: Both the original and the repeated course grades are included in your cumulative GPA calculation.
- Summer Courses: Included in the calculation.
- Pass/Fail: Only included if the school officially confirms they replace graded courses, otherwise ignored.
