What is the SINP Points Assessment Grid?
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) uses a 110-point grid to assess candidates for its International Skilled Worker streams (Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand). You must score a minimum of 60 out of 110 points to be eligible to apply.
Does having a job offer guarantee I will be nominated?
A valid job offer from an approved Saskatchewan employer gives you a massive 30 points, which almost guarantees you will meet the 60-point minimum threshold if you have basic English and education. However, you must still meet all other program requirements.
Who counts as a 'close relative' in Saskatchewan?
A close relative can be a parent, sibling, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, or step-family member. They must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Saskatchewan for at least the past 12 months.
Are Express Entry points the same as SINP points?
No. The federal Express Entry system uses the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) out of 1200 points. SINP uses its own 110-point grid. If you are nominated by SINP through their Express Entry stream, you receive +600 CRS points on your federal profile.
