Sorority Rush GPA Risk
Will you survive the Panhellenic academic cuts? Calculate your exact GPA and see if you are mathematically safe for Formal Recruitment.
Course Input
The Algorithm is Blind: During the first round of recruitment, chapters use the campus computer system to manage lists. If you are below their National GPA requirement, the system automatically drops you. The chapter members physically cannot invite you back.
Calculated Cum. GPA

Rush Viability
Severe Risk of Release
Being below 2.75 means you will likely be automatically dropped by nearly every Panhellenic chapter on day one.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a 'Grade Drop' in Sorority Rush?
During Panhellenic Formal Recruitment, sororities use a computer algorithm to manage invitations. If your GPA falls below a chapter's strict minimum requirement, the system will automatically 'drop' (release) you from that house before recruitment even begins, regardless of your resume or recommendations.
Do sororities look at High School or College GPA?
It depends on your current standing. If you are an incoming Freshman rushing in the Fall, they strictly use your final cumulative High School GPA. If you are a Sophomore, Junior, or rushing in the Spring semester, they will strictly use your College cumulative GPA.
Why is the College GPA cutoff lower than High School?
Sororities recognize that college classes are significantly harder than high school classes. A 3.2 GPA in high school is heavily scrutinized, whereas a 3.0 cumulative GPA in college is generally considered highly competitive for rush.
Can letters of recommendation save me from a GPA drop?
Very rarely. While an alumnae recommendation can help borderline students, most Panhellenic chapters are strictly governed by their National Headquarters' bylaws regarding academics. If you do not meet the mathematical minimum, they are legally not allowed to extend you a bid.
