TMDSAS GPA Calculator

Calculate your exact Texas Medical & Dental (TMDSAS) BCPM and Cumulative GPA using the strict flat-grade (no +/-) conversion scale.

TMDSAS Strict Grading Rule

Do not enter +/- grades. TMDSAS flattens all grades (e.g., A- becomes A=4.0, B+ becomes B=3.0). Ensure you classify courses strictly by their teaching department.

Course Entry

What is the biggest difference between TMDSAS and AMCAS GPA?
TMDSAS DOES NOT use plus/minus (+/-) grading. If you received an A- on your transcript, TMDSAS counts it as a flat A (4.0). If you received a B+, TMDSAS counts it as a flat B (3.0). AMCAS, on the other hand, factors in +/- (e.g., A- is 3.7).
What counts as BCPM for TMDSAS?
BCPM stands for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math. TMDSAS is very strict: courses must be taught in these specific departments. Allied health courses (Nursing, Kinesiology, Public Health) do NOT count as BCPM, even if they have heavy science content.
How does TMDSAS handle repeated courses?
TMDSAS does not do grade replacement. Both the original grade and the retaken grade will be factored into your cumulative GPA. Every credit you take counts.
Is Computer Science counted as BCPM?
Generally, no. For TMDSAS, Computer Science and Engineering courses fall under 'Non-Science' unless they are explicitly cross-listed as a Mathematics course and taught in the Math department.
