Visa Details

Must already be in the UK on your current Student visa. You cannot bring new dependants.

Can I apply for the UK Graduate Route Visa from outside the UK?
No. You must be inside the UK when you apply. If you leave the UK before a decision is made on your application, your application will be withdrawn.
Can I bring my family (dependants) with me on this visa?
You cannot bring NEW dependants with you on the Graduate visa. Your partner or children can only apply to join you if they are already in the UK as your dependants on your current Student visa.
What is the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)?
The IHS is a mandatory fee that gives you access to the UK's National Health Service (NHS). Following the massive fee hike in early 2024, the IHS for the Graduate route is now £1,035 per year, per person. This must be paid upfront in full when you apply.
When can I apply for the Graduate visa?
You must wait until your university explicitly informs you that they have notified the Home Office that you have successfully completed your course. Do not apply before this happens, or you will be refused.
