The Big 4 Accounting (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG): The official cutoff is usually a 65 WAM (Credit). If you have a 66 WAM, you will get the psychometric testing link.

Top Tech (Atlassian, Canva, Google Sydney): Tech firms are unique. They officially say "No WAM cutoff," but realistically, if your WAM is below a 65, your resume is ignored unless you have an incredible GitHub portfolio.

Major Banks (CommBank, NAB, ANZ): 65+ WAM for generalist roles. (75+ for their specialized quantitative trading desks).

Tier 3: The Engineering & Government Reality (50 - 60+ WAM)

Federal Government (Grad Programs): The Australian Public Service (APS) graduate programs generally require a passing degree. A 60 WAM is fine, provided you crush their extensive assessment centers.

Mining & Heavy Engineering (BHP, Rio Tinto): Engineering WAMs are notoriously low due to brutal math scaling. These companies often accept a 60 WAM, heavily prioritizing your 12-week practical work experience and willingness to relocate to regional WA or Queensland.
