How OLSAS Calculates GPA
OLSAS converts all your undergraduate marks to a standard 4.0 scale using the OUAC grade conversion table. However, law schools look at your grades differently than other professional programs.
CGPA vs B2/L2
While Cumulative GPA (CGPA) includes all courses, many Ontario law schools focus heavily on your Best 2 Years (B2) or Last 2 Years (L2) of full-time study.
Repeated Courses
OLSAS records both attempts. However, most law schools (like Osgoode) will either only take the highest grade or average the two attempts.
Holistic Review
Law admissions rely heavily on the LSAT, your personal statement, and reference letters, not just your OLSAS GPA. A high LSAT can offset a lower GPA.
