The NEET marking scheme is +4 marks for every correct answer, -1 mark for every incorrect answer (negative marking), and 0 marks for unattempted questions. The maximum possible score is 720.
First, match your OMR sheet with the answer key. Count your total correct answers and multiply by 4. Then count your incorrect answers and multiply by 1. Subtract the incorrect total from the correct total to get your raw score.
In NEET Section B, you are only supposed to attempt 10 out of 15 questions. If you attempt more than 10, the NTA scanner will only evaluate the first 10 questions you bubbled. Any correct or incorrect answers from question 11 onwards in that section will be ignored.
Yes, the exact same marking scheme applies to Section B as Section A. You will get +4 for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer.
A 'good' score depends on your category and target college. However, due to recent rank inflation, a raw score of 650+ is generally considered safe for securing a seat in a Government Medical College (GMC) via the All India Quota (AIQ) for the General category.
