Yes, most university programs accept Grade 12 M courses in your top six, provided you meet all specific course prerequisites. However, some highly competitive programs limit the number of M courses they will accept (e.g., a maximum of two M courses).
The university will automatically select your mandatory prerequisite courses first, and then pick the highest grades from your remaining U/M courses to calculate your top six average. Your lowest grades will simply be ignored.
Grade 11 marks are primarily used for 'Early Admission' offers made between December and February. If your Grade 11 marks are strong, universities may issue a conditional offer before your Grade 12 marks are finalized. Ultimately, your final admission is always based on your Grade 12 Top 6.
