Frequently Asked Questions

CAP (Cumulative Average Point) is Singapore's GPA equivalent, on a 5.0 scale. A CAP of 4.5+ is First Class Honours, 4.0-4.49 is Second Upper (2:1), and 3.5-3.99 is Second Lower (2:2).
S/U (Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) lets you exclude a module from your CAP. If you score D+ or above, it becomes 'S' and doesn't count. NUS allows S/U for up to 32 MCs (modular credits) across your degree.
The median starting salary for NUS/NTU graduates is approximately SGD 4,200-4,800/month. Computing and Engineering graduates command higher salaries (SGD 5,000-6,500+), while Arts graduates typically start at SGD 3,500-4,000.
